Job Locations and Reviews
Upon arrival, customer pointed out the area of concern. Technician removed several tiles and noticed the 2” cast iron pipe sagging at the fernco connection. The fernco was removed and another no hub fernco was installed, and the cast iron pipe was raised as much as possible. The t bars and tiles were put back in place as well.
Mop sink and janitors closet is backing up. Technician will use drain snake in order to clear the line, and then test the line to ensure proper drainage. Technician initially attempted to go through the P-trap, as the clean out on the trap would not budge, and could not be removed. Initial attempt with FlexShaft proved unsuccessful, so technician, then used quarter inch cable machine. This allowed the cable to go through the trap, but was not sufficient enough to break up any obstructions within the line. Technician then switched to using 3/8” cable But could not get past the trap due to the stiff nature of the cable. Technician then discovered floor level clean out, and used specialized equipment to remove the seized cap in order to gain direct access to the drain line. Once this was achieved, the 3/8” cable was then inserted directly into the drain line, and fed out until an obstruction was encountered.
